What you can expect when you visit a Taft’s Brewing Co. location
All Taft’s Brewing Company locations officially open doors on Thursday, May 21. All are following strict procedures, enforcing mandatory measures under the state’s order while also going above and beyond to ensure the safety of all guests as well as the Taft’s team. A complete list of all safety measures has been included at the bottom of this page.
Before you visit us: Please ensure you have no symptoms of COVID-19 before considering leaving your home. We advise that you make a reservation by calling or using the Yelp app, but walk-ins will be accepted. Have a mask and want to use it when not eating or drinking? We definitely highly encourage usage, but it is not required. We will ask that you keep 6ft social distancing top of mind during your time.
Upon arriving: One door will be an entrance only and one will be exit only. Follow signs to enter correctly! You will immediately be greeted by a host. You will have the option to get a squirt of hand sanitizer and have your phone sanitized by our UV sanitizing wands. You’ll be directed to your table (which will be at least 6ft away from any other tables) where you’ll meet your wonderful server who will take your food and drink orders during your stay. We ask that once you are seated, you remain (as much as possible) at your table. And note, our bar has been completely closed to prevent congregation.
During your stay: Take a look around (from your seat)! You’ll see a lot of signage and direction from our team to keep all guests (and us!) as safe as possible. You’ll see all of our staff will be wearing masks and gloves, and you’ll see them doing frequent deep cleanings. You’ll see tub stickers on the floor in areas of high congestion to remind you to stay 6ft socially distanced from others. You’ll see we removed any self-service areas as your server can get you all you’ll need. You’ll see foot door openers and all of our arcade and sports games closed. You’ll see disposable everything is now the norm, including utensils, plates, condiments, cups, etc. Sorry to our beer nerds for the improper beer vessel, but safety is the priority!
Ready to go?: We miss you already. Pay using our touch-free option directly from your phone. Leave everything on your table, your server will buss it for you. Ensure you get a pump of hand sanitizer as you leave through the exit-only door. And then immediately begin planning your next trip back!
What else is there to know?: We have serious protocols in place to check employee health around the clock, including checking and logging temperatures upon arrival at work. All areas of each establishment are being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before, during and following operating hours. All tables will be completely sanitized between seatings. We are here to keep you safe while you enjoy the best beer and food! If you see something you believe to be unsafe, alert your server or another staff member immediately.

Signage posted to direct customers on how to stop the spread of COVID-19, promote everyday protective measures, correct hand washing procedures
All areas of the establishment properly cleaned, stocked, sanitized and disinfected frequently
Ventilation systems (including air ducts and vents) are clean and properly working to circulate air
Increased circulation of outdoor air (as much as possible) by opening windows, garage doors, main doors and utilizing fans
Any high-touch self-service items have been removed and replaced with disposable (including all cups, condiment containers, utensils, plates, napkins, menus)
No beer flights will be offered for the time being
Sanitizers and disinfectants are being used to clean the facility before, during and following operating hours
This includes, but is not limited to, counters, food contact surfaces, beverage equipment, restrooms, doors, handrails, tables, chairs, etc.
All staff are properly trained on cleaning procedures to ensure safe and correct application and a sufficient stock of cleaning supplies is at the ready for frequent and ongoing disinfection
All tables will be completely sanitized between seatings
StepNPull foot door openers have been installed on the inside/outside of all high traffic area doors
Restrooms will have signage to encourage continued social distancing within
Hand sanitizer stations have been set up at all entryways, exits and restrooms of facility, with additional hand sanitizers available throughout
Guests will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer and UV sanitizing wand on their phones upon entering at the host stand
Close contact will be minimized by the usage of tub floor decals (6 ft) and signage in places of congestion
Tables and all seating have been arranged to be at least 6ft from one another
Bar stools and bar service has been completely removed to adhere to 6ft+
All outdoor patios will have tables and seating at 6ft distance between one another
Dedicated entryway and exits have been identified to control the flow of traffic
All games will remain closed and signage will be placed across to ensure guests do not use
Employees and Staff:
All staff will wear masks and gloves through entire work tenure
Staff will change masks and gloves as needed to abide by CDC guidelines
Gloves will be changed frequently, at least between seatings
Protocols have been set in place to check employee health and personal hygiene practices as well as daily screenings
All staff have also been given a list of COVID-19 symptoms and told to self-screen daily
All staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival at work to ensure health
All staff have been trained and reminded of effective hand hygiene practices including frequent washing of hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Staff have also been given access to hand sanitizer and will utilize
We have restricted the number of employees in shared spaces to maintain 6ft distancing
All locations will now have a host to communicate with guests upon arrival, assist with seating or waiting needs and be an additional safety personnel on the ground
Host will be asked to ensure guests are aware of COVID-19 symptoms, 6ft distancing, etc.
All locations will now have servers to reduce guests need to move about the facility, reduce contact with other guests and staff, etc.
Servers will also become additional safety personnel, manning the floor
All locations will be taking reservations to assist with dispersing and creating additional space for guests
Also, to assist with congregation and wait areas
Carryout/Take Out will have a specific and clearly marked pick-up area within each restaurant
Parking for take-out only guests will be available close to the building to ensure a quicker turnaround time
Paperless touch-free pay will be offered to those with payment on their phones. For other guests, tablets will be used for payment that will be sanitized fully between guests
Wait areas will be limited to a certain capacity per location and once met, guests will be asked to wait off premise to ensure social distancing measures are enforced
We will be asking patrons to remain where they are once seated to reduce foot traffic and contact
We are asking that guests wear masks when not eating or drinking. We realize this is a personal choice and will not enforce this, we simply encourage usage
